I had the opportunity to complete my Renal rotation with Davita. I traveled to the Janesville, Sun Prairie, and Lake Delton locations and observed the renal dietitian.

During this rotation I was able to:

• Observe medical rounds while patients were on dialysis

• Independently assess a new dialysis patient & complete chart notes 

• Design a new handout on phosphorus (pictured). Using this handout, I educated patients on the risks of high phosphorus 

• Created a billboard for patients on the risks of high phosphorus levels

• Learned extensively about the lab values and medications that are associated with dialysis patients
