• Managed tube feeds within the ICU unit. Attended daily rounds independently and provided nutrition insight to doctors & residents.. 

• Learned how to write TPN orders within a 2-day parenteral nutrition rotation. Independently discussed patient needs with surgical nutrition team. I learned how to adjust parenteral nutrition based on electrolyte lab values. 

• Observed selection meeting for kidney transplant candidates while on transplant rotation. 

• Observed various types of feeding tube equipment while on oncology rotation.

• Observed how nurses can set-up tube feed rates using pump.

• Become comfortable with paging members of team including nurses, interns, and residents. 

• Provided education on ostomy diet guidelines after ileostomy surgery.
